OTTERGUARD / THE DETAILS

Privacy Policy

Your connection, explained with care.

Last updated

This Privacy Policy describes the information involved in using OtterGuard VPN, why it is handled and the choices you can make. It also explains what happens when you ask for help with the service.

When you connect

OtterGuard VPN uses Android VpnService to provide its VPN connection. Android requests your authorization before this feature is enabled. Establishing the connection, routing traffic and keeping the service operating involve processing network traffic, IP addresses and connection state.

When you need help

The details you voluntarily send to support are used to understand your request, investigate the issue and respond. Please keep messages relevant to the problem and avoid including passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.

Who supports the service

Infrastructure and support providers may handle information relevant to their work in delivering the service or assisting you. Information may also be disclosed to meet applicable legal obligations or comply with a binding legal request.

Keeping information protected

Retention is based on the purpose of processing, operational and support needs, and legal requirements. Reasonable safeguards are used when handling information. However, no transmission or storage method can provide complete protection against every security risk.

Making your choices

You can stop the VPN connection and revoke its authorization in Android settings. Applicable law may allow you to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or object to processing. For these requests or privacy questions, use the developer contact details in OtterGuard VPN's app store listing.

Changes to this policy will be published here with a revised date. Additional notice of material changes and consent before they take effect will be provided where applicable law requires them.
